Crocheting Trash into Treasure
Hooked on Hope was founded by Angie Yao and her passion for crocheting and the environment. During COVID, Angie learned to crochet from her grandmother. She realized that yarn is not the only thing that can be used to crochet. Every year, 500 billion plastic bags are used globally. Those are plastics that end up in landfills and oceans. Our goal is to give single use plastic a second chance by transforming it into something new through crochet.
